Rick E. Hills 

Rick is a founding shareholder of Hills Legal Group, Ltd. and the predecessor firm established in 1990. He has practiced insurance defense litigation for his entire legal career of 28 years. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Rick has a statewide practice and has tried over 100 jury trials in twenty-three different counties. He has previously been retained as a national trial counsel for Pamida, Inc., a retail department store chain and handled cases in nine states. His successes include a defense verdict in a traumatic brain injury case that went to trial in Donna Reed's ("It's a Wonderful Life") home town of Denison, IA.

In addition to his trial practice, Rick has also successfully defended cases at the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Rick has made presentations to various groups including claim executives and risk managers. He has also assisted in the training of claims staff with respect to the handling of Wisconsin claims.
